A few details about the Vauxhall Astra GTC concept have been released ahead of its official unveiling in October at the Paris Motor Show.

Buyers hoping to find a new car may be interested to know that Vauxhall has released details of its Astra GTC concept.

Early impressions from the three-door design are that it has stuck to the style that has being associated with a number of models from its manufacturer's 100-year-plus history, Cars UK has reported.

This includes a blade surfacing that has being applied to the side, which has a resemblance to the design on the five-door model, only this time it has been switched around in a reverse motion compared to the original look.

Older models like the Viva and Cresta can also be compared to one element of the new Astra GTC concept, with this being the sharp crease in the bonnet's centre.

However, the model also gets some stylish features of its own, with eagle-shaped headlights and a spoiler appearing at the top of the rear of the car, two parts that instantly stand out to car enthusiasts.

Drivers wanting to get more information on this concept model should keep an eye out for the Paris Motor Show, where more details are being promised, along with a showing of the Astra Estate and a possible unveiling of the Astra VXR.
