Car recalls have limited impact on brands

We’ve just compiled a list of the most requested brands on FindsyouCars, analysing 1500 recent car request.

The car-buying public still wants BMW, Toyota and Mercedes among the top ten most requested cars, suggesting that consumer loyalty and trust in well-known, established brands remains unshaken.
Our current poll also suggests that over 50% of people admit to being completely unfazed by recent issues surrounding Mercedes’ power steering, Toyota’s faulty accelerator pedals and BMW’s braking problems, where collectively millions of motors were recalled. Instead, interestingly these brands continue to dominate the nation’s wish list.
Manufacturer recalls have become so commonplace this year that despite widespread media hysteria, public opinion has not shifted. Instead consumers are content in the knowledge that issues will be dealt with swiftly and thoroughly, which appears to be of ultimate importance when retaining customer loyalty.
